  • Sat., Apr. 26, 2014 8:00AM - 6:00PM CDT Packers Pro Shop Tent Sale

The sale is taking place earlier than in previous years, due to the construction at Lambeau Field and the work that the Pro Shop team must complete in preparation for the new store, which will open this summer. Visitors to Lambeau Field should enter the Atrium through the Oneida Nation Gate. Parking is available in the lot on Lambeau Field’s east side near the Oneida Nation Gate, which can be accessed off Oneida Street and Lombardi Avenue.

The sale will feature the traditional mix of Pro Shop items greatly reduced in price and other special purchases.

The team’s football operations staff also has provided Packers team apparel no longer in use, including a large assortment of t-shirts, shorts, jackets, jerseys and pants. Some items are practice-worn gear not normally available in the Pro Shop.

The tent sale began in 1994 in the parking lot outside the former Pro Shop on the north end of Lambeau Field and grew into a popular event. Now in its 11th year in the Atrium, the tent sale also was held in the west side stadium concourse in previous years.

GREEN BAY (6-6-1) AT DALLAS (7-6)
Sunday, Dec. 15 - AT&T Stadium - 3:25 p.m. CST

packers to visit cowboys for first time since 2007

  • Green Bay will go on the road this week to visit the Dallas Cowboys for the first time since a Week 13 matchup in 2007 at Texas Stadium.
  • The Packers are currently third in the NFC North after improving to 6-6-1 on the season with a 22-21 win over Atlanta at Lambeau Field on Sunday. The Packers trail the Detroit Lions (7-6) and the Chicago Bears (7-6) with three games remaining.
  • Including this Sunday’s game, the last seven meetings between the Packers and Cowboys (1999, 2004, 2007-10) have been either a late-afternoon tilt or a prime-time matchup.
  • This will be the first meeting between the teams since a Week 9 matchup in 2010 at Lambeau Field, a 45-7 Green Bay win. The Packers have won the last two games against the Cowboys (2009-10).
  • The 2010 contest capped off a stretch of four straight seasons (2007-10) where the Packers and Cowboys met.
  • Sunday will mark the Packers’ first game against the Cowboys at AT&T Stadium, which opened in 2009. Green Bay played the Pittsburgh Steelers at the stadium in Super Bowl XLV, then known as Cowboys Stadium, on Feb. 6, 2011.
  • This will be only the third visit to Dallas for the Packers over the past 17 seasons (1997-2013). Green Bay will be looking to win its first game in Dallas against the Cowboys since a 20-10 win at Texas Stadium on Christmas Eve in 1989.
  • That 1989 contest is the only other regular-season meeting between the clubs in Dallas in December/January.
  • The Packers and Cowboys represent two of the proudest and most successful clubs in the NFL. The teams have combined for 18 NFL championships (Green Bay 13, Dallas 5) and nine Super Bowl titles (Green Bay 4, Dallas 5).
  • Green Bay topped the Cowboys, 34-27, in the 1966 NFL Championship in Dallas on its way to winning Super Bowl I vs. Kansas City.
  • After Vince Lombardi and Tom Landry turned it into one of the league’s great rivalries, the Packers-Cowboys series reached another peak in the 1990s with some memorable playoff battles.
  • Though the Cowboys have won 11 of the last 15 overall meetings, the all-time regular-season series is deadlocked at 12-12.
  • Since 2009, the Packers have a 16-5 (.762) overall record in December/January, which ranks No. 2 in the NFL over that span behind only New England (19-3, .864).
  • Green Bay enters Sunday’s game with a 34-12-1 record over their last 47 regular-season games, a .734 winning percentage that is tied for No. 2 in the NFL over that span (with San Francisco, 34-12-1) behind only New England (37-10, .787).

  • FOX Sports, now in its 20th season as an NFL network television partner, will broadcast the game to the majority of the country.
  • Play-by-play man Joe Buck and color analyst Troy Aikman will have the call from the broadcast booth with Pam Oliver reporting from the sidelines.
  • Milwaukee’s WTMJ (620 AM), airing Green Bay games since 1929, heads up the 50-station Packers Radio Network, with Wayne Larrivee (play-by-play) and two-time Packers Pro Bowler Larry McCarren (color) calling the action. The duo is in its 15th season of broadcasts together across the Packers Radio Network, which covers 42 markets in six states.
  • The broadcast is also available on SiriusXM Satellite Radio (WTMJ feed) as part of the network’s NFL Sunday Drive.
  • DIRECTV subscribers can watch the game in HD on Channel 714.

  • Packers vs. Cowboys:
  • All-time, regular season: 12-12
  • All-time, postseason: 2-4
  • All-time, in Dallas: 5-12
  • Streaks: The Packers have won the last two meetings.
  • Last meeting, regular season: Nov. 7, 2010, at Lambeau Field; Packers won, 45-7

  • Mike McCarthy: 86-48-1, .641, (incl. 6-4 postseason); 8th NFL season
  • Jason Garrett: 28-25, .528; 3rd NFL season
  • Head to Head: Never met
  • vs. Opponent: McCarthy 2-2 vs. Cowboys; Garrett 0-0 vs. Packers

…Is in his eighth year as the Packers’ 14th head coach.

  • Joined Vince Lombardi and Mike Holmgren as the only coaches to guide the Packers to a Super Bowl title with a win over Pittsburgh in Super Bowl XLV.
  • Has led the Packers to playoff appearances in five of his seven seasons at the helm, and the team’s five postseason berths over the past six seasons are the most by an NFC team.
  • Led Green Bay to 47 regular-season victories from 2009-12, the second most in the NFL over that span and the second most in franchise history over a four-year period.
  • His .638 winning percentage (including playoffs) ranks No. 4 among active NFL coaches (min. 50 games).
  • Was named Packers head coach on Jan. 12, 2006, his first head-coaching job after 13 years as an NFL assistant.
  • Became the first Packers coach since Lombardi to lead the team to a championship game in his second season (2007).

JASON GARRETT…Is in his third full season as the Cowboys’ eighth head coach. Was the interim head coach for the final eight games in 2010.

  • Is the only former Cowboys player to be the team’s head coach.
  • Was named NFL Assistant Coach of the Year by Pro Football Weekly for the 2007 season.
  • Played quarterback for the Cowboys (1992-99), the N.Y. Giants (2000-03), the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2004) and the Miami Dolphins (2004). Was a member of three Super Bowl teams with Dallas.

  • These clubs squared off in one of the most famous games in league history, the 1967 NFL Championship, dubbed the ‘Ice Bowl.’ Kickoff temperature was recorded as minus-13 with a minus-46 wind chill, the coldest game in league annals. Bart Starr’s game-winning TD, a 1-yard dive with 13 seconds left, sealed Green Bay’s third straight championship en route to its second consecutive Super Bowl title.
  • Green Bay won 10 of the first 15 in the series, in which Tom Landry and Vince Lombardi - former assistants on the same N.Y. Giants staff in the 1950s - turned it into one of the NFL’s preeminent rivalries.
  • The Packers have lost 12 of the last 13 games against the Cowboys in Dallas, including three postseason games. Their lone win during that time came on Christmas Eve in 1989, a 20-10 Green Bay victory.
  • The 2007 meeting marked the eighth time in league history that two 10-1 clubs met, just the second such instance since the 1970 merger.

Packers.com presents 'Prospect Primer,' a video look at an assortment of draft-eligible players who attended the scouting combine in Indianapolis. Virginia Tech's Kyle Fuller started 42 games over four years before an injury forced him to miss a handful of games down the stretch in 2013. Also intercepted two passes each of the last three seasons. Injury kept him out of Senior Bowl workouts but was healthy enough to participate at the scouting combine and is projected to go as high as the middle of the first round.
