    The fifth annual ‘5K Run/Walk at Lambeau Field,’ is set for Saturday, July 26, at 6:30 p.m.

    The computer-timed run is highlighted by a neighborhood route that ultimately takes participants into Lambeau Field and around the famed gridiron. The event has a special finish line – the Packers’ ‘G’ painted on turf located in the parking lot.

    All participants will receive a Packers 5K Run T-shirt, a logoed bag, and a bib number and timing chip. To celebrate the race’s fifth anniversary, all participants will receive a commemorative medal. In addition, photos will be taken on the course and will be available at no cost on the Packers 5K Run website.

    Packers-themed awards will be presented to the top three finishers in each age group. An awards ceremony will take place following the conclusion of the race.

    Registration, which is $25 for adults and $15 for children (12 and younger), will be available online beginning Friday, May 23, at www.packers.com/5k. Mail-in registration is also an option, with forms available online and in person at Lambeau Field. Runners can also register at the Bellin Run Expo on Friday, June 13, at Astor Park in Green Bay. Early registration is encouraged. After July 13, registration fees will increase to $30 and $20, respectively.

Packers to raise ticket prices for 2014 season

Seats to increase $3; playoff invoicing to offer "pay as we play" type of option


The Green Bay Packers today announced plans for a price increase on stadium bowl tickets for the 2014 season. The increase will be $3 for each seat throughout the general seating area.

Invoices sent to season-ticket holders this week include a brochure from the Packers which outlines the new pricing, discusses next season’s home opponents and updates the Lambeau Field Atrium renovation. Packers President/CEO Mark Murphy discussed the pricing for the 2014 season in the mailing.

“Our goal for ticket pricing is to be just below the League average,” Murphy said in the brochure. “With this increase, we project to rank 17th in average ticket price, which accomplishes the goal and maintains a fair visiting team contribution, as well. We’re confident our top-rated Lambeau Field experience remains a great value for (ticket holders).”

With the $3 increase, tickets in respective areas in 2014 will cost:

- End zone seats – $77
- South end zone, 700 Level – $85
- End zone to the 20‐yard line – $88
- South end zone, 600 Level – $92
- Between the 20-yard lines – $100

Payment is due in the Packers’ ticket office March 31.

Comparatively speaking around the NFC North for the 2013 season, the best sideline seat for the Bears was $190, Vikings $150 and Lions $119.

Additionally, Lambeau Field suite tickets in 2014 also will increase $3 to $100. Lease rates for suites and club-seat ticket prices are set per client contracts, with invoices also mailed this week.

The brochure also discussed the team’s review of its playoff ticket invoicing procedures. While the review is ongoing, the team anticipates offering a “pay as we play” type of option for ticket holders that will have payment applied only when a game is certain to occur. A number of details are being worked through, and options for payment will be communicated when the procedures are finalized.
