  • Sat., Apr. 26, 2014 8:00AM - 6:00PM CDT Packers Pro Shop Tent Sale

The sale is taking place earlier than in previous years, due to the construction at Lambeau Field and the work that the Pro Shop team must complete in preparation for the new store, which will open this summer. Visitors to Lambeau Field should enter the Atrium through the Oneida Nation Gate. Parking is available in the lot on Lambeau Field’s east side near the Oneida Nation Gate, which can be accessed off Oneida Street and Lombardi Avenue.

The sale will feature the traditional mix of Pro Shop items greatly reduced in price and other special purchases.

The team’s football operations staff also has provided Packers team apparel no longer in use, including a large assortment of t-shirts, shorts, jackets, jerseys and pants. Some items are practice-worn gear not normally available in the Pro Shop.

The tent sale began in 1994 in the parking lot outside the former Pro Shop on the north end of Lambeau Field and grew into a popular event. Now in its 11th year in the Atrium, the tent sale also was held in the west side stadium concourse in previous years.

Lambeau Field ready for Sunday's contest against Pittsburgh Steelers

Posted Dec 19, 2013

Contest is annual Fan Appreciation game

The Packers are celebrating their fans this weekend, as Sunday’s contest against the Pittsburgh Steelers is the team’s annual Fan Appreciation game. Fans attending Sunday’s game will have the chance to win a number of giveaways, including Ariens Sno-Thros and Packers Pro Shop gift cards, which will be distributed to fans randomly based on their seat number and location.

Also, as a part of the Fan Appreciation game, all entrance tickets will feature the winning fan-submitted photo from the Packers Ticket Takeover contest, which was open for all fans to enter on packerseverywhere.com earlier this year. A panelist of Packers officials selected the top five fan photos submitted, which were then voted on by the public. The winning photo was that of eight-year-old Emily Sperduto of Oxford, N.J., who will attend the game with her parents. The prize package also included airfare and hotel accommodations for two people.

Prior to kickoff, the Packers will recognize Mike Stassi, the Wisconsin Football Coaches Association/Green Bay Packers High School Coach of the Year, from the field. Stassi recently completed his 15th season as the head coach of the Monona Grove high school football program. The Silver Eagles finished the 2013 season with a perfect 14-0 record, capped off by a 21-17 victory over Greendale High School in the WIAA Division 3 State Championship at Camp Randall Stadium in Madison, Wis., on Nov. 22. Stassi will be awarded a $2,000 grant for the Monona Grove football program, and, in addition, will be honored at the WFCA All-State banquet on Jan. 26 in the Lambeau Field Atrium.

Also during pregame, representatives of the Packers and Humana will recognize this year’s 10 Community Quarterback Award recipients. Each recipient received a $4,000 grant in recognition of their extensive volunteer work that is given to the nonprofit group for which they volunteer. The recipients were also given two tickets each to the game.

The Packers’ featured alumni this weekend are William Henderson and Dorsey Levens. The two are scheduled to make appearances throughout the weekend at various locations, including fan activities at the Packers Pro Shop, Tundra Tailgate Zone and Legends Club leading up to kickoff.

Fans entering the stadium will receive a Packers team photo, courtesy of the game sponsor, Kohl’s Department Stores.

Goo Goo Dolls lead singer Johnny Rzeznik will perform the national anthem.

In addition, the Packers and WPS Health Insurance will be recognizing U.S. Air Force Technical Sergeant Zachary Rhyner, of Medford, Wis., through Operation Fan Mail on-field prior to the national anthem. Rhyner is the first living recipient of the Air Force Cross in the Global War on Terror.

During halftime, Scott Kruse of Grafton, Wis., the winner of the Ultimate Leap Sweepstakes will be making his Lambeau Leap. Kruse was selected by the Packers, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, Robert Haack Diamonds and Pick ‘n Save from eight randomly selected sweepstakes finalists during an event at Lambeau Field on Dec. 3.

In addition, as part of the Fan Appreciation game, one randomly selected fan will win a trip for two to Puerto Vallarta through Packers Fan Tours and Funjet Vacations.

Also taking place at Sunday’s matchup is the premier gameday tailgate party in the Tundra Tailgate Zone (TTZ) in the Lambeau Field parking lot. For a full list of gameday information, please visit packers.com/gameday/gameday-information.html.

The Lambeau Field Atrium and guest relations desk will open at 11 a.m. for ticketed guests only. The Tundra Tailgate Zone, Curly’s Pub and parking lot will open at 11:25 a.m. Gates and other Atrium eateries will open at 1:25 p.m.
