  • Sat., Apr. 26, 2014 8:00AM - 6:00PM CDT Packers Pro Shop Tent Sale

The sale is taking place earlier than in previous years, due to the construction at Lambeau Field and the work that the Pro Shop team must complete in preparation for the new store, which will open this summer. Visitors to Lambeau Field should enter the Atrium through the Oneida Nation Gate. Parking is available in the lot on Lambeau Field’s east side near the Oneida Nation Gate, which can be accessed off Oneida Street and Lombardi Avenue.

The sale will feature the traditional mix of Pro Shop items greatly reduced in price and other special purchases.

The team’s football operations staff also has provided Packers team apparel no longer in use, including a large assortment of t-shirts, shorts, jackets, jerseys and pants. Some items are practice-worn gear not normally available in the Pro Shop.

The tent sale began in 1994 in the parking lot outside the former Pro Shop on the north end of Lambeau Field and grew into a popular event. Now in its 11th year in the Atrium, the tent sale also was held in the west side stadium concourse in previous years.

After July 14, registration will increase to $30 for adults

Registration for the fourth annual ‘5K Run at Lambeau Field’ will increase $5 for both adults and children after July 14, 2013. Interested participants are encouraged to register by mail or online at www.packers.com/5k before the deadline to receive a discounted rate of $25 for adults and $15 for children (12 and younger).

After July 14, registration fees will increase to $30 for adults and $20 for children. Mail-in registration forms are available online and in person at Lambeau Field.

The event, presented by the Packers and Bellin Health, is a run/walk set for 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 27.

The computer-timed run is highlighted by a neighborhood route that ultimately takes participants into Lambeau Field and around the famed gridiron. The event has a special finish line – the Packers’ ‘G’ painted on turf located in the parking lot.

Bellin Health is contributing its considerable race expertise to the event through logistical and medical support. The organization’s 10K race, the Bellin Run, is among the nation’s most popular races.

All participants will receive a Packers’ 5K Run t-shirt, a logoed bag, a bib number and a timing chip. In addition, photos will be taken on the course and will be available at no cost on the Packers 5K Run website.

Former Packers players Dexter McNabb, Bill Schroeder and Tony Fisher also will take part in the event by running the 5K route with participants.

New this year, Back to Football will include the 1K Kids Run, presented by WPS Health Insurance. Kids 10 years old and younger will have the opportunity to run a Lambeau Lap on Friday, July 26, at 6 p.m. Registration for the Kids Run is $10 and all participants will receive a Packers 1K Run t-shirt, a logoed bag and a participant medal.

Movie Night at Lambeau Field will return this year on Friday, July 26. At 7:30 p.m., following the 1K Kids Run, Disney’s Wreck it Ralph will be shown on the TundraVision. The event is free and open to the public, and concessions will be available throughout the movie.

The Packers are partnering with local charities to raise money at the event. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the American Red Cross, the Volunteer Center of Green Bay, Big Brothers Big Sisters, and NEW Community Clinic.

WIXX 101 is serving as the radio partner for the event.

The Back to Football Campaign is an effort supported by the Green Bay Packers and Bellin Health, which celebrates the upcoming football season. The campaign presents the 5K Run, the 1K Kids Run, Movie Night at Lambeau Field, training camp, Packers Family Night and the team’s two home preseason games. Family Night is set for Aug. 3, and home preseason games are scheduled for Aug. 9 against the Arizona Cardinals and Aug. 23 against the Seattle Seahawks.
